﴿وَلَقَدۡ كُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَصَبَرُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُواْ وَأُوذُواْ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَاۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِيْ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 34]
﴿ولقد كذبت رسل من قبلك فصبروا على ما كذبوا وأوذوا حتى أتاهم﴾ [الأنعَام: 34]
| Dr Kamal Omar And without doubt, were (also) denied the Messengers before you, then they showed forbearance over what they were denied, and they were hurt till the stage Our Help reached them, and none (exists any where as) the alterer or modifier for the statements of Allah (in His Al-Kitab). And surely has reached you out of the news about the Messengers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And, certainly, Messengers before thee were denied yet they endured patiently that they were denied and they were maligned until Our help approached them. And no one will change the Word of God. And, certainly, there drew near thee tidings of the ones who are sent |

Of course, nobody can revise or reverse the decisions (and decrees) of Allah! The tales of the (earlier) messengers have certainly reached you |

| George Sale And the Messengers indeed have been rejected before thee, but notwithstanding their rejection and persecution they remained patient until Our help came to them. There is none to change the words of God. And there have already come to thee some of the tidings of the past Messengers |
| Maududi Messengers before you have been given the lie to, and they endured with patience their being given the lie to and being persecuted until the time when Our help reached them. None has the power to alter the words of Allah. Indeed some account of the Messengers has already reached you |
