﴿وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيۡكَ إِعۡرَاضُهُمۡ فَإِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتَ أَن تَبۡتَغِيَ نَفَقٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَوۡ سُلَّمٗا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَأۡتِيَهُم بِـَٔايَةٖۚ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰۚ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 35]
﴿وإن كان كبر عليك إعراضهم فإن استطعت أن تبتغي نفقا في الأرض﴾ [الأنعَام: 35]
| Dr Kamal Omar And if has happened hard on you their aversion (from the Message), then if you had the capacity that you find a passage in the ground or a vehicle to the sky (and) then you come to them with a proof (or sign, you could attempt that.). And had Allah willed indeed, He could have gathered them together unto Al-Huda, so be not you out of Al-Jahilun |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If their turning aside had been troublesome to thee, then, if thou wert able, be looking for a hole in the earth or a ladder to heaven so that thou wouldst bring them some sign. If God willed, He would have gathered them to The Guidance. Be thou not among the ones who are ignorant |
| Dr Munir Munshey If their attitude is so hard for you to bear, then dig a tunnel through the earth if you can; or find a ladder (to climb) up to the sky. | George Sale And if their turning away is hard on thee, then, if thou art able to seek a passage into the earth or a ladder unto heaven and bring them a Sign, thou canst do so. And had God enforced His will, He could surely have brought them all together to the guidance. So be thou not of those who lack knowledge |
