﴿وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةٗ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 37]
﴿وقالوا لولا نـزل عليه آية من ربه قل إن الله قادر على﴾ [الأنعَام: 37]
| Dr Kamal Omar And they said: “As to why a sign (or proof) has not been delivered to him from his Nourisher-Sustainer?” Say: “Surely Allah is All-Capable over (this) that He may deliver a sign (or proof) but most of them know not (that Al-Kitab itself is the most important sign or proof) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And they said: Why was a sign not sent down to him from his Lord? Say: Truly, God is One Who Has Power over what sign He sends down, except most of them know not |
| Dr Munir Munshey They ask, "Why was a sign from his Lord not sent along with him." Say, "Of course, Allah has the power to bestow such a sign." But most of them have no knowledge |

| Maududi And they say: ´Why has no miraculous sign been sent down to him from his Lord?´ Say: ´Surely Allah has the power to send down a sign, but most of them do not know |
