﴿قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتَكُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡ أَتَتۡكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدۡعُونَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 40]
﴿قل أرأيتكم إن أتاكم عذاب الله أو أتتكم الساعة أغير الله تدعون﴾ [الأنعَام: 40]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Have you pondered in yourselves, if Allah’s torment came to you or the Hour came to you, would other than Allah, you would invoke? (Reply me) if you had been (out of the) truthful.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: Considered you that if the punishment of God approached you or the Hour approached you, would you call to any other than God if you had been ones who are sincere |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "What do you think? If you are truthful (answer this)! If Allah´s torment (in this world) or the hour (of Judgment) lands on you, would you implore and beseech any other being besides Allah |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'Look you now! if there should come God's torment, or there should come to you the hour, on other than God would ye call, if ye do tell the truth |
| Farook Malik Ask them to think carefully and answer: "When you face a disaster or the last Hour approaches you, do you call for help anyone other than Allah? Answer me if you are truthful |
