[الأنعَام: 68]
﴿وإذا رأيت الذين يخوضون في آياتنا فأعرض عنهم حتى يخوضوا في حديث﴾ [الأنعَام: 68]
Dr Kamal Omar And when you saw those who make discussion devoid of interest in Our Ayaat, then stay away from them until they talk on a subject other than this. And if when the Satan makes you forget, then do not sit after the reminder (has come to your mind after the neutralisation of the Satan’s effect) — with the nation of Zalimun |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when thou hadst seen those who engage in idle talk about Our signs, then, turn aside from them until they discuss in conversation other than that. And if Satan should cause thee to forget, then, after a reminder, sit not with the folk, the ones who are unjust |
Dr Munir Munshey Avoid their company if you find them engaged in a derisive (and disparaging) conversation about Our revelations. Stay away until they change the subject. If Shaitan makes you forget, then part company with the wrongdoers when you do remember |
Edward Henry Palmer When thou dost see those who plunge deeply into the discussion of our signs, turn from them until they plunge deeply into some other discourse; for it may be that Satan may make thee forget; but sit not, after thou hast remembered, with the unjust people |
Farook Malik When you see those who are engaged in arguments about Our revelations, turn away from them until they change their topic of discussion. If Satan ever makes you forget this commandment, then as soon as you realize, withdraw from the company of wrongdoers |
George Sale And when thou seest those who engage in vain discourse concerning Our Signs, then turn thou away from them until they engage in a discourse other than that. And if Satan should cause thee to forget, then sit not, after recollection, with the unjust people |
Maududi When you see those who are engaged in blasphemy against Our signs, turn away from them until they begin to talk of other things; and should Satan ever cause you to forget, then do not remain, after recollection, in the company of those wrong-doing people |
