﴿فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَآ أَكۡبَرُۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتۡ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 78]
﴿فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال﴾ [الأنعَام: 78]
Dr Kamal Omar So when he saw the sun rising up, he said: “This is my Rabb. This one is bigger” So when it set, he said: “O my nation! Indeed, I am absolved of what you commit as polytheism.” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Then, when he saw the sun, that which rises, he said: This is my Lord. This is greater. Then, when it set, he said: O my folk! Truly, I am free from the partners you ascribe with Him |

Maududi Then when he beheld the sun rising, he said: ´This is my Lord. This is the greatest of all.´ Then, when it went down, he said: ´O my people! Most certainly 1 am quit of those whom you associate with Allah in His divinity |
