﴿قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓاْ إِن زَعَمۡتُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴾
[الجُمعَة: 6]
﴿قل ياأيها الذين هادوا إن زعمتم أنكم أولياء لله من دون الناس﴾ [الجُمعَة: 6]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “O you people who Haadoo (have adopted Judaism)! If you stressed that you are auliya of Allah to the exclusion of mankind, then wish for death if you are those who speak the truth.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: O those who became Jews! If you claimed that you are the protectors of God to the exclusion of humanity, then, covet death if you had been ones who are sincere |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "Oh you who became Jews, if you claim to be the friends of Allah, a people chosen (by Him) over all other nations, then wish for death if you are really truthful |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'O ye who are Jews! if ye pretend that ye are the clients of God, beyond other people; then wish for death if ye do speak the truth |
| Farook Malik O you, the Jews! If you claim that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then wish for death if what you say is true |
| George Sale Say, O ye who follow the Jewish religion, if ye say that ye are the friends of God above other men, wish for death, if ye speak truth |
| Maududi Tell them: "O you who have become Judaised, if you arrogantly fancy that you are Allah´s favourites to the exclusion of all people, then wish for death, if you are truthful in your claim |
