﴿سَآءَ مَثَلًا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَأَنفُسَهُمۡ كَانُواْ يَظۡلِمُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 177]
﴿ساء مثلا القوم الذين كذبوا بآياتنا وأنفسهم كانوا يظلمون﴾ [الأعرَاف: 177]
| Dr Kamal Omar Bad is the example of the nation of those who belied Our Ayaat, and (to) their ownselves they used to do injustice |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar How evil is the parable of the folk who denied Our signs! And they had been doing wrong to themselves |
| Dr Munir Munshey Despicable is the parable of the people who reject Our revelations, and thereby wrong themselves |
| Edward Henry Palmer Evil is the likeness of a people who say our signs are lies; themselves it is they wrong |
| Farook Malik Very bad is the example of those people who deny Our revelations and wrong their own souls |
| George Sale Evil is the case of the people who treat Our Signs as lies. And it was their ownselves that they wronged |
| Maududi Evil is the example of the people who reject Our signs as false and perpetrate wrong against their own selves |
