﴿قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِي سَفَاهَةٖ وَإِنَّا لَنَظُنُّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 66]
﴿قال الملأ الذين كفروا من قومه إنا لنراك في سفاهة وإنا لنظنك﴾ [الأعرَاف: 66]
| Dr Kamal Omar The leaders of those who disbelieved among his nation said: “Surely we see you in foolishness, and verily we regard you of those who are liars.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar The Council of those who were ungrateful said among his folk: Truly, we see foolishness in thee. And, truly, we think that thou art among the ones who lie |
| Dr Munir Munshey The elders among his nation who had disbelieved said, "We really think you are being stupid. In fact, we believe that you are a liar |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said the chiefs of those who misbelieved amongst his people, 'Verily, we see thee in folly, and, verily, we certainly think thou art of the liars |
| Farook Malik The chiefs of his nation who denied his message said: "We can see that you are crazy and we think that you are lying |
| George Sale The chiefs of those among his people who believed not, answered, Verily we perceive that thou art guided by folly; and we certainly esteem thee to be one of the liars |
| Maududi The unbelievers among the leading men of his people said: ´Indeed we see you in folly, and consider you to be liars.´ |
