﴿فَعَقَرُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَقَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 77]
﴿فعقروا الناقة وعتوا عن أمر ربهم وقالوا ياصالح ائتنا بما تعدنا إن﴾ [الأعرَاف: 77]
| Dr Kamal Omar Then they made the she-camel incapacitated (mahead of state her incapable to move in search of food or drink) and they insolently defied the Commandment of their Nourisher-Sustainer and (very defiantly) called out: “O Salih! Approach us with that which you promised us if you are out of those who are sent (as Messengers).” |

| Maududi Then they hamstrung the she-camel, disdainfuliy disobeyed the commandment of their Lord, and said: ´0 Salih! Bring upon us the scourge with which you threatened us if you are truly a Messenger [of Allah].´ |
