﴿فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنۡهُمۡ وَقَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ لَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي وَنَصَحۡتُ لَكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُحِبُّونَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 79]
﴿فتولى عنهم وقال ياقوم لقد أبلغتكم رسالة ربي ونصحت لكم ولكن لا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 79]
| Dr Kamal Omar So (Salih) bypassed them and said: “O my nation! I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Nourisher-Sustainer and gave you sincere advice but you people do not like those who give sincere advice.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Then, he turned away from them and said: O my folk! Certainly, I expressed to you the message of my Lord and advised you, except you love not the ones who give advice |
| Dr Munir Munshey So, (Saleh) turned away from them and said, "Oh my people! I certainly conveyed to you the message of my Lord, and I advised you sincerely. But (evidently) you did not like your sincere well-wishers |
| Edward Henry Palmer and he turned away from them and said, 'O my people! I did preach to you the message of my Lord, and I gave you good advice! but ye love not sincere advisers |
| Farook Malik Saleh left them saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message of my Lord and gave you good advice but you did not love the good advisers |
| George Sale And Saleh departed from them, and said, O my people, now have I delivered unto you the message of my Lord; and I advised you well, but ye love not those who advise you well |
| Maududi And Salih left them, saying: ´O my people! I conveyed to you the message of my Lord and gave you good advice; but you have no liking for your well-wishers.´ |
