﴿وَلَوۡ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِمۡ خَيۡرٗا لَّأَسۡمَعَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ أَسۡمَعَهُمۡ لَتَوَلَّواْ وَّهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ﴾
[الأنفَال: 23]
﴿ولو علم الله فيهم خيرا لأسمعهم ولو أسمعهم لتولوا وهم معرضون﴾ [الأنفَال: 23]
| Dr Kamal Omar And had Allah known in them (any) good, indeed He would have made them listen. And (even) if He had made them listen, surely, they would have turned away, and they are those who stay away (from the Statements of Al-Kitab) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If God knew any good in them He would have caused them to be willing to hear. And even if He had caused them to be willing to hear, truly, they would have turned away, and they are ones who turn aside |
| Dr Munir Munshey Had Allah known of any good within them, He would have made them hear. But, if He were to make them hear, they would (just) have turned away stubbornly |
