Quran with British translation - Surah Yusuf ayat 11 - يُوسُف - Page - Juz 12
﴿قَالُواْ يَٰٓأَبَانَا مَا لَكَ لَا تَأۡمَ۬نَّا عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَنَٰصِحُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 11]
﴿قالوا ياأبانا ما لك لا تأمنا على يوسف وإنا له لناصحون﴾ [يُوسُف: 11]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir They said: O our father! what reason have you that you do not trust in us with respect to Yusuf? And most surely we are his sincere well-wishers |
| Mohammad Shafi They said, "O our father! Why do you not trust us with regard to Joseph? And we are indeed his sincere well-wishers |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall They said: O our father! Why wilt thou not trust us with Joseph, when lo! we are good friends to him |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani They said (to Ya‘qūb), “Our father, why is it that you do not trust us about Yūsuf, while we are his well-wishers indeed |
| Muhammad Asad [On this they agreed; and thereupon] they spoke [thus to their father]: "O our father! Wherefore wilt thou not trust us with Joseph, seeing that we are indeed his well-wishers |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali They said, "O our father, how is it with you, that you do not keep Yusuf (Joseph) in our custody? And surely we are indeed his (honest) advisers |

| Safi Kaskas [They agreed on this course, and] they spoke [to Jacob], "Father, why don't you trust us with Joseph, seeing as we wish him well |
