﴿وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَتَهَجَّدۡ بِهِۦ نَافِلَةٗ لَّكَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَبۡعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامٗا مَّحۡمُودٗا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 79]
﴿ومن الليل فتهجد به نافلة لك عسى أن يبعثك ربك مقاما محمودا﴾ [الإسرَاء: 79]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And during a part of the night, pray Tahajjud beyond what is incumbent on you; maybe your Lord will raise you to a position of great glory |
Mohammad Shafi And keep awake part of the night reciting it (Qur'aan). This is an additional thing for you (the Messenger) to do. Maybe your Lord will raise you to a praiseworthy position |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And some part of the night awake for it, a largess for thee. It may be that thy Lord will raise thee to a praised estate |
Mufti Taqi Usmani And during the night, wake up for Salāh of tahajjud , an additional prayer for you. It is very likely that your Lord will place you at Praised Station |
