Quran with British translation - Surah Maryam ayat 23 - مَريَم - Page - Juz 16
﴿فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا ﴾
[مَريَم: 23]
﴿فأجاءها المخاض إلى جذع النخلة قالت ياليتني مت قبل هذا وكنت نسيا﴾ [مَريَم: 23]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And the throes (of childbirth) compelled her to betake herself to the trunk of a palm tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died before this, and had been a thing quite forgotten |
Mohammad Shafi And the throes of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, would that I had died before this, and had been a thing long forgotten |
