﴿وَإِذۡ وَٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعِينَ لَيۡلَةٗ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذۡتُمُ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمۡ ظَٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 51]
﴿وإذ واعدنا موسى أربعين ليلة ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 51]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And when We appointed a time of forty nights with Musa, then you took the calf (for a god) after him and you were unjust |
Mohammad Shafi And the time when We gave an appointment to Moses of forty nights! You then took to the calf after he left. And you were indulging in wickedness |
