Quran with British translation - Surah Ya-Sin ayat 18 - يسٓ - Page - Juz 22
﴿قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهُواْ لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ ﴾
[يسٓ: 18]
﴿قالوا إنا تطيرنا بكم لئن لم تنتهوا لنرجمنكم وليمسنكم منا عذاب أليم﴾ [يسٓ: 18]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir They said: Surely we augur evil from you; if you do not desist, we will certainly stone you, and there shall certainly afflict you a painful chastisement from us |
| Mohammad Shafi They (the town-people) said, "We do indeed consider you to be portents of evil. If you desist not, we will surely stone you, and a painful punishment from us will certainly afflict you |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall (The people of the city) said: We augur ill of you. If ye desist not, we shall surely stone you, and grievous torture will befall you at our hands |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani They (the People of the Town) said, “We take you as a bad omen for us. If you do not desist, we will certainly stone you and you will be afflicted by a painful punishment from us.” |
