﴿أَتَّخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ ﴾
[صٓ: 63]
﴿أتخذناهم سخريا أم زاغت عنهم الأبصار﴾ [صٓ: 63]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them |
Mohammad Shafi We used to hold them in ridicule! Or is it that our eyes have missed them |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them |
Mufti Taqi Usmani Had we taken them as a laughing-stock (unjustly), or have our eyes missed them?” |
Muhammad Asad [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?” |
