﴿أَتَّخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ ﴾
[صٓ: 63]
﴿أتخذناهم سخريا أم زاغت عنهم الأبصار﴾ [صٓ: 63]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al “Did we treat them with ridicule, or have we failed to perceive them?” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Did we make fun of them (by mistake), or did the eyes overlook (and missed) them |
| Ali Quli Qarai ridiculing them, or do [our] eyes miss them [here]?’ |
| Ali Unal Whom we used to take in mockery? Or is it that (they are here with us, but) our eyes have missed them (just as we turned our eyes from them in contempt in the world) |
| Hamid S Aziz Was it that we took them wrongly in scorn, or have our eyes missed them |
| John Medows Rodwell Whom we used to treat with scorn? Have they escaped our eyes |
| Literal We took them (by) mocking/ridiculing or the eyesights/knowledge deviated/turned away from them |
