Quran with British translation - Surah sad ayat 75 - صٓ - Page - Juz 23
﴿قَالَ يَٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِيَدَيَّۖ أَسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَالِينَ ﴾
[صٓ: 75]
﴿قال ياإبليس ما منعك أن تسجد لما خلقت بيدي أستكبرت أم كنت﴾ [صٓ: 75]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones |
| Mohammad Shafi Allah said, "O Iblees! What has prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My hands? Are you proud or are you of those who think of themselves as high and mighty |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He (Allah) said, “O Iblīs, what did prevent you from prostrating yourself before what I created with My hands? Did you wax proud or were you among the lofty ones?” |
| Muhammad Asad Said He: “O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being], or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?” |

| Safi Kaskas [God] said, "Iblis , what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My hands? Is it your arrogance, or do you think that you are so high above all others |
