﴿۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوۡمُكَ مِنۡهُ يَصِدُّونَ ﴾
[الزُّخرُف: 57]
﴿ولما ضرب ابن مريم مثلا إذا قومك منه يصدون﴾ [الزُّخرُف: 57]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat |
| Mohammad Shafi When (Jesus) the son of Mary is mentioned by way of an example, your people protest |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani When the example of the son of Maryam was cited, your people started at once shouting at it (in joy) |
| Muhammad Asad NOW WHENEVER [the nature of] the son of Mary is set forth as an example, [O Muhammad,] lo! thy people raise an outcry on this score |
