Quran with British translation - Surah Muhammad ayat 18 - مُحمد - Page - Juz 26
﴿فَهَلۡ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةٗۖ فَقَدۡ جَآءَ أَشۡرَاطُهَاۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمۡ إِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ ذِكۡرَىٰهُمۡ ﴾
[مُحمد: 18]
﴿فهل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة فقد جاء أشراطها فأنى لهم﴾ [مُحمد: 18]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Do they then wait for aught but the hour that it should come to them all of a sudden? Now indeed the tokens of it have (already) come, but how shall they have their reminder when it comes on them |
| Mohammad Shafi Are they, then, waiting for the Hour (the time when the present world will end and the Hereafter begin) to come upon them of a sudden? Portends of it have verily come! And what will mention of these [portends] avail them, once it [the Hour] has come upon them |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Await they aught save the Hour, that it should come upon them unawares? And the beginnings thereof have already come. But how, when it hath come upon them, can they take their warning |
