Quran with British translation - Surah Al-hadid ayat 23 - الحدِيد - Page - Juz 27
﴿لِّكَيۡلَا تَأۡسَوۡاْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُواْ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالٖ فَخُورٍ ﴾
[الحدِيد: 23]
﴿لكيلا تأسوا على ما فاتكم ولا تفرحوا بما آتاكم والله لا يحب﴾ [الحدِيد: 23]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster |
| Mohammad Shafi So, may you not despair over what has eluded you, nor exult over what He has given you. And Allah loves not any self-conceited boaster |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall That ye grieve not for the sake of that which hath escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which hath been given. Allah loveth not all prideful boasters |
