Quran with British translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 28 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
﴿بَلۡ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُخۡفُونَ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلَوۡ رُدُّواْ لَعَادُواْ لِمَا نُهُواْ عَنۡهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 28]
﴿بل بدا لهم ما كانوا يخفون من قبل ولو ردوا لعادوا لما﴾ [الأنعَام: 28]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Nay, what they concealed before shall become manifest to them; and if they were sent back, they would certainly go back to that which they are forbidden, and most surely they are liars |
| Mohammad Shafi Nay! What they concealed before would just become manifest to them. And were they to be sent back, they would certainly commit that which they are forbidden, and certainly indeed they are liars |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Nay, but that hath become clear unto them which before they used to hide. And if they were sent back they would return unto that which they are forbidden. Lo! they are liars |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani In fact, what they were concealing earlier will become clear to them. If they were sent back, they would again go for what they were forbidden from, as they are sheer liars |
| Muhammad Asad But nay -[they will say this only because] the truth which they used to conceal [from themselves] in the past will have become obvious to them; and if they were brought back [to life], they would return to the very thing which was forbidden to them: for behold, they are indeed liars |
