﴿يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ﴾
[الصَّف: 8]
﴿يريدون ليطفئوا نور الله بأفواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون﴾ [الصَّف: 8]
Mohammad Habib Shakir They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse |
Mohammad Shafi They wish they could extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, and Allah perfects His light however much the suppressors of the Truth may dislike |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse |
Mufti Taqi Usmani They wish to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah is to perfect His light, even though the disbelievers dislike (it) |
