Quran with English translation - Surah As-saff ayat 8 - الصَّف - Page - Juz 28
﴿يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ﴾
[الصَّف: 8]
﴿يريدون ليطفئوا نور الله بأفواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون﴾ [الصَّف: 8]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Their intention is to extinguish God's light with their mouths. But God will brighten His light, even though the unbelievers detest it |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They want to put out God's light with (words of) their mouths, while God completes His light even though the disbelievers dislike it |
Ali Quli Qarai They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light though the faithless should be averse |
Ali Unal They long to extinguish God’s light with (a breath from) their mouths (as if it entailed no more than extinguishing a candle with a breath), but God will surely perfect His light, however hateful (it may be) to the unbelievers |
Hamid S Aziz They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse |
