﴿فَلَوۡلَا كَانَتۡ قَرۡيَةٌ ءَامَنَتۡ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوۡمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُواْ كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخِزۡيِ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ ﴾
[يُونس: 98]
﴿فلولا كانت قرية آمنت فنفعها إيمانها إلا قوم يونس لما آمنوا كشفنا﴾ [يُونس: 98]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Why was there not a single township that believed? Its faith would have profited it. Except the people of Jonah, when they believed, We removed from them the penalty of disgrace in the life of the present, and permitted them much enjoyment |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Why there was no town that believed and their belief benefited them except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed the humiliating punishment in this world’s life from them, and We let them enjoy for a while (in their lifetime) |
