Quran with English translation - Surah Maryam ayat 8 - مَريَم - Page - Juz 16
﴿قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِيّٗا ﴾
[مَريَم: 8]
﴿قال رب أنى يكون لي غلام وكانت امرأتي عاقرا وقد بلغت من﴾ [مَريَم: 8]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al He said, “O my Lord, how will I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He said: my Master, how can there be a son for me while my wife is infertile and I have reached the very old age |
| Ali Quli Qarai He said, ‘My Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I am already advanced in age?’ |
| Ali Unal He said: "My Lord! How shall I have a son when my wife is barren and I have already reached infirmity in old age |
| Hamid S Aziz Said he, "My Lord! How can I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I have become decrepit through old age |
| John Medows Rodwell He said: "O my Lord! how when my wife is barren shall I have a son, and when I have now reached old age, failing in my powers |
| Literal He said: "My Lord that how (could there) be for me a boy and my woman (wife) was infertile and I had reached from the old age exceeding the limit |
| Mir Anees Original He said, "My Fosterer! how shall I have a son when my wife is barren and I have reached the extreme degree of old age |
