﴿ثَانِيَ عِطۡفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ لَهُۥ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞۖ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ ﴾
[الحج: 9]
﴿ثاني عطفه ليضل عن سبيل الله له في الدنيا خزي ونذيقه يوم﴾ [الحج: 9]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Bending his side, in order to lead the people astray from the path of God, for him there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Accountability, We will make him taste the penalty of burning |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Twisting his side (being arrogant) to misguide (people) away from God’s way. There is humiliation for him in this world, and We make him taste punishment of the burning on the resurrection day |
| Ali Quli Qarai turning aside disdainfully to lead [others] astray from the way of Allah. For such there is disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of the burning |
| Ali Unal They keep on disputing arrogantly to lead people astray from God’s way. For such there is disgrace in the world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will cause them to taste the punishment of the scorching Fire |
| Hamid S Aziz Turning his neck from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will make him taste the doom of burning |

| Literal Turning his neck violently objecting to misguide from God`s way/path , for him in the present world (is) shame/scandal/disgrace, and We make him taste/experience (on) the Resurrection Day the burning`s torture |
