Quran with English translation - Surah FaTir ayat 42 - فَاطِر - Page - Juz 22
﴿وَأَقۡسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ لَئِن جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنۡ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مَّا زَادَهُمۡ إِلَّا نُفُورًا ﴾
[فَاطِر: 42]
﴿وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم لئن جاءهم نذير ليكونن أهدى من إحدى الأمم﴾ [فَاطِر: 42]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They swore their strongest oath by God that if a warner came to them, they would follow his guidance better than any other people, but when a warner came to them, it only increased their flight |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they solemnly swear by God that if a warner comes to them, they shall become better guided than any of the communities. But when a warner came to them, it only increased their disgust |
| Ali Quli Qarai They had sworn by Allah with solemn oaths that if a warner were to come to them, they would be better guided than any of the nations. But when a warner came to them, it only increased their distance [from the truth] |
| Ali Unal They swore by God with their most solemn oaths that if a warner came to them, they would most certainly follow his guidance more than any of the communities (to whom a warner came). Yet, now that a warner has come to them, it has increased them in nothing but aversion |

| Literal And they swore/made oath by God their rights`/oath`s utmost if (E) a warner/giver of notice came to them they will be/become more guided than any (of) the nations , so when a warner/giver of notice came to them, did not (nothing) increased them except hastening away with aversion |
