Quran with English translation - Surah Ghafir ayat 50 - غَافِر - Page - Juz 24
﴿قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ تَكُ تَأۡتِيكُمۡ رُسُلُكُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰۚ قَالُواْ فَٱدۡعُواْۗ وَمَا دُعَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٍ ﴾
[غَافِر: 50]
﴿قالوا أو لم تك تأتيكم رسلكم بالبينات قالوا بلى قالوا فادعوا وما﴾ [غَافِر: 50]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They will say, “Did there not come to you your messengers with clear signs?” They will say, “Yes.” They will reply, “Then pray.” But the prayer of those without faith is futile.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They (the guards) say: did not your messengers bring you the clear proofs? They say: yes. They say: so call, for call of the disbelievers is only a mistake (and is useless) |
Ali Quli Qarai They will say, ‘Had not your apostles brought you manifest proofs?’ They will say, ‘Yes.’ They will say, ‘Then invoke [Him] yourselves.’ But the invocations of the faithless only go awry |
Ali Unal (The keepers) will say: "Did not the Messengers sent to you come to you with clear proofs (of the truth)?" They will say, "Yes, indeed." (The keepers then) will say: "Then call (as you like)!" But the call of unbelievers is bound to be in vain |
Hamid S Aziz They shall say, "Did not your messengers come to you with clear arguments?" They shall say, "Yea." They shall say, "Then pray." But the prayer of those without faith is only futile (wandering in) error |
John Medows Rodwell They shall say, "Came not your apostles to you with the tokens?" They shall say, "Yes." They shall say, "Cry ye then aloud for help:" but the cry of the unbelievers shall be only in vain |
Literal They said: "Were your messengers not being coming to you with the evidences?" They said: "Yes/certainly." They said: "So call, and the disbelievers` call/prayer (is) not except in misguidance |
Mir Anees Original They will say, “Did your messengers not come to you with clear proofs?” They will say, “Yes, why not?” The ( guards ) will say, “Then ( in that case ) you ( yourselves ) pray,” but the prayer of the infidels will be in vain |
