Quran with English translation - Surah Fussilat ayat 16 - فُصِّلَت - Page - Juz 24
﴿فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِيٓ أَيَّامٖ نَّحِسَاتٖ لِّنُذِيقَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخِزۡيِ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَخۡزَىٰۖ وَهُمۡ لَا يُنصَرُونَ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 16]
﴿فأرسلنا عليهم ريحا صرصرا في أيام نحسات لنذيقهم عذاب الخزي في الحياة﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 16]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So We sent against them a furious wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a penalty of humiliation in this life, but the penalty of the hereafter will be more crushing, and they will find no help |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So We sent a brutal cold wind upon them for several miserable days in order that We make them taste the humiliating punishment in this world’s life while the punishment of the hereafter is certainly more humiliating, and they will not be helped |
| Ali Quli Qarai so We unleashed upon them an icy gale during ill-fated days, in order that We might make them taste a humiliating punishment in the life of the world. Yet the punishment of the Hereafter will be surely more disgraceful, and they will not be helped |
| Ali Unal So then We sent upon them a furious windstorm through days of disaster, and so We made them taste the punishment of disgrace in the life of this world, while the punishment of the Hereafter is more humiliating. And they will not be helped (to evade it) |
| Hamid S Aziz So We sent on them a furious wind in disastrous days, that We may make them taste the torment of abasement in the life of the world. But verily, the chastisement of the Hereafter is much more shameful, and they shall not be helped |
| John Medows Rodwell Therefore on ill-omened days did we send against them an impetuous blast that we might make them taste the chastisement of shame in this world: - but more shameful shall be the chastisement of the life to come; and they shall not be protected |
| Literal So We sent on (to) them a severely cold/roaring wind/breeze in unlucky/miserable days/times, to make them taste/experience the shame`s/scandal`s/disgrace`s torture in the life the present/worldly life, and the end`s (other life`s) torture (E) (is) more shameful/scandalous/disgraceful, and they are not being given victory/aid |
