Quran with English translation - Surah Ash-Shura ayat 40 - الشُّوري - Page - Juz 25
﴿وَجَزَٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَاۖ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 40]
﴿وجزاء سيئة سيئة مثلها فمن عفا وأصلح فأجره على الله إنه لا﴾ [الشُّوري: 40]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al The reward for an injury is an injury equal to it, but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from God, for God does not love those who do wrong |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad (should know that) punishment of a bad deed is a bad deed like it, and anyone who excuses and settles then his reward is upon God. Indeed He does not like the wrongdoers |
Ali Quli Qarai The requital of evil is an evil like it, so whoever excuses and conciliates, his reward lies with Allah. Indeed, He does not like the wrongdoers |
Ali Unal The recompense of an evil deed can only be an evil equal to it; but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from God. Surely He does not love the wrongdoers |
Hamid S Aziz And the recompense of evil is punishment like it, but whoever forgives and amends, he shall have his reward from Allah; surely He does not love the unjust |
John Medows Rodwell Yet let the recompense of evil be only a like evil but he who forgiveth and is reconciled, shall be rewarded by God himself; for He loveth not those who act unjustly |
Literal And a sin`s/crime`s reimbursement (is) a sin/crime equal to it , so who forgave/pardoned and corrected/repaired , so his reward (is) on God, that He truly does not love/like the unjust/oppressors |
Mir Anees Original And the requital of an evil is an evil similar to it, but one who pardons and reconciles, then ( the responsibility of ) rewarding him is on Allah, He certainly does not like those who are unjust |
