Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Fath ayat 10 - الفَتح - Page - Juz 26
﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ فَوۡقَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡۚ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَنۡ أَوۡفَىٰ بِمَا عَٰهَدَ عَلَيۡهُ ٱللَّهَ فَسَيُؤۡتِيهِ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا ﴾
[الفَتح: 10]
﴿إن الذين يبايعونك إنما يبايعون الله يد الله فوق أيديهم فمن نكث﴾ [الفَتح: 10]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Indeed those who pledge their allegiance to you, do no less than pledge their allegiance to God. The hand of God is over their hands. Then anyone who violates his pledge does so to the detriment of his own soul, and anyone who fulfills what he has covenanted with God, God will soon grant him a great reward |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Those who pledge allegiance to you are indeed pledging allegiance to God, God’s hand is above their hands (as a sign of God's pledge). So whoever breaks (his pledge), he only breaks it against himself, and whoever fulfills what he promised to God, then He is going to give him a great reward |
| Ali Quli Qarai Indeed those who swear allegiance to you, swear allegiance only to Allah: the hand of Allah is above their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own detriment, and whoever fulfills the covenant he has made with Allah, He will give him a great reward |
| Ali Unal Those who swear allegiance to you (O Messenger), swear allegiance to God only. God’s "Hand" is over their hands. Whoever then breaks his oath, breaks his oath only to his own harm; and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with God, He will grant him a tremendous reward |
| Hamid S Aziz Surely those who swear allegiance unto you (O Muhammad) do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore, whoever breaks his faith, he breaks it only to the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfils what he has covenan |
| John Medows Rodwell In truth, they who plighted fealty to thee, really plighted that fealty to God: the hand of God was over their hands! Whoever, therefore, shall break his oath shall only break it to his own hurt; but whoever shall be true to his engagement with God, He will give him a great reward |
| Literal That truly those who pledge/swear loyalty to you , truly/indeed they pledge/swear loyalty (to) God, God`s hand (is) above/over their hands, so who broke/breached , so but He breaks/breached on (to) himself, and who fulfilled/completed with what he promised/pledged on it (to) God, so He will give/bring him a great reward |
| Mir Anees Original Those who swear allegiance to you certainly swear allegiance only to Allah, the hand of Allah is above their hands. So whoever breaks (the agreement, the loss of) his breaking (it) is only on his own soul and whoever fulfils the agreement which he has made with Allah, then He will give him a great reward. reward |
