Quran with English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 35 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Their aversion is hard on your mind, yet if you were able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign, no good would it be. If it were God's will, He could gather them to true guidance. So do not be among those who are swayed by ignorance |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And if their shunning is difficult for you, then make a tunnel in the earth or a ladder to the sky if you can, so that you bring them a miracle. If God wanted, He would assemble them to the guidance, so do not be of the ignorant |
Ali Quli Qarai And should their aversion be hard on you, find, if you can, a tunnel into the ground, or a ladder into sky, that you may bring them a sign. Had Allah wished, He would have brought them together on guidance. So do not be one of the ignorant |
Ali Unal If their recalcitrance is distressful for you, then if you are able seek a way down into the earth or a ladder up to the heavens to bring them a sign (a miracle of the kind that they wrongly think would persuade them to believe) – then know that had God so willed, He could surely have gathered them all to the true guidance (whether by a single miracle or by some other means. Seeing that God wills otherwise: that the truth be set before people with its supporting arguments through Messengers, and people should choose their way by exercise of their free will and judgment, then) do not be among those who act as if ignorant (of this fact) |
Hamid S Aziz And if their aversion be hard for you, and if you can, seek for a shaft down into the earth, or a ladder up into the sky, to bring them a sign - if Allah pleased He could have brought them all to guidance - be you not then of the ignorant |
John Medows Rodwell But if their estrangement be grievous to thee, and if thou art able to seek out an opening into the earth or a ladder into Heaven, that thou mightest bring them a sign. . . . Yes! But if God pleased, He would surely bring them, one and all, to the guidance! therefore be not thou one of the ignorant |
Literal And if their objection/opposition has become a burden on you, so if you were able, that (E) you desire/wish a tunnel in the earth/Planet Earth, or a ladder in the sky/space, so you come to them with a verse/evidence, and if God wanted/willed He would have gathered/collected them on the guidance, so do not be (E) from the ignorant/lowly (P) |
Mir Anees Original And if their keeping away (from your message) is a great (disappointment) for you, then if you can, seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder (to ascend) into the sky, then come to them with a sign (miracle, still they will not believe). And had Allah willed, He would have gathered all of them on guidance, so do not be of those who are ignorant |
Mir Aneesuddin And if their keeping away (from your message) is a great (disappointment) for you, then if you can, seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder (to ascend) into the sky, then come to them with a sign (miracle, still they will not believe). And had God willed, He would have gathered all of them on guidance, so do not be of those who are ignorant |
