Quran with English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 93 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
﴿وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ قَالَ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمۡ يُوحَ إِلَيۡهِ شَيۡءٞ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثۡلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُۗ وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓاْ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ أَخۡرِجُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمُۖ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ تُجۡزَوۡنَ عَذَابَ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَكُنتُمۡ عَنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 93]
﴿ومن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو قال أوحي إلي ولم﴾ [الأنعَام: 93]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Who can do more wrong than one who invents a lie against God or says, “I have received inspiration,” when he has received none, or who says, “I can reveal the like of what God has revealed.” If you could only see how the wrong-doers fare in the flood of confusion at death. The angels stretch out their hands saying, “Yield up your souls, this day will you receive your reward, a penalty of shame, because you used to tell lies against God, and sarcastically reject His signs.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And who is more wrong than someone who makes up a lie (and attributes it) to God, or says that it was revealed to me while nothing was revealed to him, and anyone who says: I am going to send down like what God sent down. And if you see when the wrongdoers are in the tug of the death and the angels open their hands (saying): eject your souls, today you are punished a humiliating punishment for what you were unjustifiably saying against God and for being arrogant about His signs (and not accepting them) |
| Ali Quli Qarai Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, ‘It has been revealed to me,’ while nothing was revealed to him, and he who says, ‘I will bring the like of what Allah has sent down?’ Were you to see when the wrongdoers are in the throes of death, and the angels extend their hands [saying]: ‘Give up your souls! Today you shall be requited with a humiliating punishment because of what you used to attribute to Allah untruly, and for your being disdainful towards His signs.’ |
| Ali Unal Who is more in wrong than he who fabricates falsehood in attribution to God, or says, "I receive Revelation from God," when nothing has been revealed to him, and he who claims, "I will produce the like of what God has sent down"? If you could but see how it will be when those wrongdoers find themselves in the agonies of death when the angels (appointed to take their souls), stretching forth their hands (say): "Yield up your souls! Today you will be recompensed with the punishment of humiliation for having continuously and persistently spoken about God other than the truth, and in persistent arrogance scorned His Revelations |
| Hamid S Aziz Who is more wicked than he who devises against Allah a lie, or says, "I am inspired," when he has received none at all? And who says, "I can reveal the like of what Allah has revealed"? But did you see when the unjust are in the floods |
| John Medows Rodwell But is any more wicked than he who deviseth a lie of God, or saith, "I have had a revelation," when nothing was revealed to him? And who saith, "I can bring down a book like that which God hath sent down"? But couldst thou see when the ungodly are in the floods of death, and the angels reach forth their hands, saying, "Yield up your souls: - this day shall ye be recompensed with a humiliating punishment for your untrue sayings about God, and for proudly rejecting his signs |
| Literal And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated on God lies/falsifications, or he said: "Was inspired/transmitted to me." And was not inspired/transmitted to him a thing, and who said: "I will descend equal/alike (to) what God descended". And if you see/understand when the unjust/oppressors (are) in the death`s/lifelessness` intensities/intoxications, and the angels (are) spreading/extending their hands: "Get your selves out, today you are being rewarded/reimbursed the humiliation`s/disgrace`s torture because (of) what you were saying on (about) God other than the truth , and you were from His verses/evidences/signs being arrogant |
| Mir Anees Original And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or says, "Communication has come to me," when he has not been communicated with anything, and he who says, "I can (also) bring down the like of that which Allah has sent down." Could you but see when the unjust are engulfed in (the sufferings of) death and the angels stretch their hands (saying), "Bring out your souls. (This) day you will be rewarded with a shameful punishment because you used to speak about Allah (something) other than the truth, and you used to consider yourselves great with regard to (the acceptance) of His signs." about Allah (something) other than the truth, and you used to consider yourselves great with regard to (the acceptance) of His signs |
