Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 48 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8
﴿وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَعۡرَافِ رِجَالٗا يَعۡرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَىٰهُمۡ قَالُواْ مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنكُمۡ جَمۡعُكُمۡ وَمَا كُنتُمۡ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 48]
﴿ونادى أصحاب الأعراف رجالا يعرفونهم بسيماهم قالوا ما أغنى عنكم جمعكم وما﴾ [الأعرَاف: 48]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Those above will call to those whom they will know from their marks saying, “Of what profit to you were your possessions, and those things about which you were arrogant |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And inhabitants of the heights call out men whom they recognize from their appearance saying: your population (and great number) and your being arrogant is of no use to you |
Ali Quli Qarai The occupants of the Elevations will call out to certain men whom they recognize by their marks, ‘Your rallying did not avail you, nor what you used to disdain |
Ali Unal The people of the Heights call out to some men (who were the leaders of unbelief in the world, and) whom they recognize by their marks (on their countenances), saying: "(Now you see that) neither your numbers and the wealth you amassed nor your growing arrogance and vanity have availed you |
Hamid S Aziz And the Companions of the Height will call out to the men whom they know by their marks, and say, "Of what profit to you were your hoarding (of wealth), and what you were so arrogant about |
John Medows Rodwell And they who are upon Al Araf shall cry to those whom they shall know by their tokens, "Your amassings and your pride have availed you nothing |
Literal And company/friends (of) the fence between Heaven and Hell/the highest tip of anything called/cried (to) men (that) they know them by their marks/identifications/expressions. They said: "Your gatherings/collecting/group and what you were being arrogant did not enrich/satisfy from you |
Mir Anees Original And the inhabitants of the heights (from where one can recognise), will call out to the men whom they would recognise by their marks, saying, "Your collections (hoardings) and that in which you considered yourselves great, have not saved you (from the punishment) |
