Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 71 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8
﴿قَالَ قَدۡ وَقَعَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ رِجۡسٞ وَغَضَبٌۖ أَتُجَٰدِلُونَنِي فِيٓ أَسۡمَآءٖ سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلۡطَٰنٖۚ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 71]
﴿قال قد وقع عليكم من ربكم رجس وغضب أتجادلونني في أسماء سميتموها﴾ [الأعرَاف: 71]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al He said, “Punishment upon punishment has already come upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me over names which you have devised, you and your ancestors, without authority from God. But wait, I am among you also waiting.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He (Hud) said: filth and anger from your Master have fallen on you, do you argue with me about names which you and your fathers named them, when God did not send down any reason for it? So wait and I wait with you |
| Ali Quli Qarai He said, ‘Punishment and wrath from your Lord has become due against you. Do you dispute with me regarding names, which you have named—you and your fathers—for which Allah has not sent down any authority? So wait! I too am waiting along with you.’ |
| Ali Unal He (Hud) said: "Already abhorrence and anger (i.e. idol-worship in blind imitation of your forefathers) from your Lord have befallen you. What, do you dispute with me about mere designations which you and your forefathers invented and for which God has not sent down any authority? (If that is the case) then wait, as indeed I too am among those who wait |

| Literal He said: "Punishment and torture and anger from your Lord had fallen/landed on you, do you argue/dispute with me in (about) names you named it, you and your fathers, (that) God did not descend with it from a proof/evidence ? So wait/watch , that I am with you from the waiting/expecting/watching |
| Mir Anees Original He said, "Uncleanliness and anger from your Fosterer have already fallen on you. What ! do you dispute with me about names which you have named, you and your forefathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority, then wait, I (too), with you, will be one of those who wait |
