Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al “We would indeed invent a lie against God if we returned to your way after God has rescued us from it. Nor could we, by any means, return to it unless it is by the will of God, Our Lord. Our Lord can reach out to the utmost recesses of things with His knowledge. In God we trust. Our Lord, decide between us and our people with truth, for You are the best to decide.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad We have made up a lie (and attributed it) to God if we returned to your faith after He saved us from that, and it is not for us to return to that, unless God our Master wants. Our Master’s knowledge includes everything. We trust in God. Our Master, decide between us and our people in truth, You are best of the deciders |
Ali Quli Qarai We would be fabricating a lie against Allah should we revert to your creed after Allah had delivered us from it. It does not behoove us to return to it, unless Allah, our Lord, should wish so. Our Lord embraces all things in [His] knowledge. In Allah we have put our trust.’ ‘Our Lord! Judge justly between us and our people, and You are the best of judges!’ |
Ali Unal Should we return to your way after God has saved us from it, then most certainly we would be fabricating lies in attribution to God. It is not for us to turn back to it, unless God, our Lord, should so will. Our Lord embraces all things within His Knowledge. In God do we put our trust. Our Lord! Judge between us and our people, making the truth manifest, for You are the Best in judging to make the truth manifest |
Hamid S Aziz We shall have devised a lie against Allah if we return unto your faith, after Allah has saved us from it; and what should ail us that we should return thereto, unless that Allah our Lord should please? Our Lord is All-comprehending in His knowledge |
John Medows Rodwell Now shall we have devised a lie concerning God, if after he hath delivered us from your religion we shall return to it; nor can we return to it, unless by the will of God our Lord: our Lord embraceth all things in his ken. In God have we put our trust: O our Lord! decide between us and between our people, with truth; for the best to decide art Thou |
Literal We had fabricated on God lies/falsification , if we returned in your religion/faith after when God saved/rescued us from it, and (it) is not to be for us that we return in it except if that God, our Lord, wills/wants, our Lord extended/spread (over) every thing (in) knowledge, on God We relied/surrendered to ; our Lord judge between us and between our nation with the truth , and you are the victoriors`/defeators`/judges` best |
Mir Anees Original We would forge a lie against Allah, if we return to your religious dictates after Allah has delivered us from it. And it is not for us to return to it unless Allah our Fosterer wills. Our Fosterer's knowledge extends over everything, we trust in Allah. Our Fosterer ! decide between us and our people with truth and You are the Best of judges |
Mir Aneesuddin We would forge a lie against God, if we return to your religious dictates after God has delivered us from it. And it is not for us to return to it unless God our Lord wills. Our Lord's knowledge extends over everything, we trust in God. Our Lord ! decide between us and our people with truth and You are the Best of judges |
