﴿قَالُواْ يَٰشُعَيۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِيرٗا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفٗاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَٰكَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡنَا بِعَزِيزٖ ﴾
[هُود: 91]
﴿قالوا ياشعيب ما نفقه كثيرا مما تقول وإنا لنراك فينا ضعيفا ولولا﴾ [هُود: 91]
| Shabbir Ahmed They said, "O Shoaib! Much of what you tell us is beyond our comprehension. We see that you are not a man in power in our midst. If we were not concerned about your family and your tribe, we would have stoned you. You are of no value to us |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed They said: "O Shu’aib! We do not understand much of what you say: In fact, some of us see that you are (indeed) weak, if it was not for your family, we would really have stoned you! Because with us, you have no great position |
| Talal A Itani New Translation They said, 'O Shuaib, we do not understand much of what you say, and we see that you are weak among us. Were it not for your tribe, we would have stoned you. You are of no value to us |
