Quran with English_Arabic translation - Surah Yusuf ayat 75 - يُوسُف - Page - Juz 13
﴿قَالُواْ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ مَن وُجِدَ فِي رَحۡلِهِۦ فَهُوَ جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 75]
﴿قالوا جزاؤه من وجد في رحله فهو جزاؤه كذلك نجزي الظالمين﴾ [يُوسُف: 75]
| Shabbir Ahmed The brothers replied, "The penalty for it! He in whose bag the cup is found he shall be the penalty for it. (The thief belongs to you). Thus we requite the doers of such wrong (in our land) |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it (the drinking cup) is found, should be held to make up for the (crime). It is like this that we punish the wrongdoers |
| Talal A Itani New Translation They said, 'His punishment, if it is found in his bag: he will belong to you. Thus we penalize the guilty |
| Talal Itani They said, “His punishment, if it is found in his bag: he will belong to you. Thus we penalize the guilty.” |
| Tbirving They said: "Its penalty? Whoever´s saddlebag it is found in will [act as] his own penalty. Thus we penalize wrongdoers |
| The Monotheist Group Edition They said: "The punishment is that whomever it is found in his bags, then to compensate is his punishment. It is such that we punish the wicked |

| The Study Quran They said, “Its recompense will be that he in whose saddlebag it is found—he himself shall be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers.” |
| Umm Muhammad [The brothers] said, "Its recompense is that he in whose bag it is found - he [himself] will be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers |
| Wahiduddin Khan They replied, "The penalty should be that he in whose saddlebag it is found, should be held [as bondman] to atone for the crime. That is how we punish the wrongdoers |
| Yusuf Ali Orig They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it is we punish the wrong- doers |
