﴿وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفۡسٍ أَن تُؤۡمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَيَجۡعَلُ ٱلرِّجۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ ﴾
[يُونس: 100]
﴿وما كان لنفس أن تؤمن إلا بإذن الله ويجعل الرجس على الذين﴾ [يُونس: 100]
| Abdel Haleem No soul can believe except by God’s will, and He brings disgrace on those who do not use their reason |
| Abdul Hye It is not (possible) for anyone to believe except by the permission of Allah, and He will put the wrath on those who don’t understand |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi It is not for any soul that it should believe save with Allah's will, and He layeth the abomination upon those who reflect not |
