﴿ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَحِبُّونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا عَلَى ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 3]
﴿الذين يستحبون الحياة الدنيا على الآخرة ويصدون عن سبيل الله ويبغونها عوجا﴾ [إبراهِيم: 3]
| Abdel Haleem those who prefer the life of this world over the life to come, who turn others from God’s way, trying to make it crooked: such people have gone far astray |
| Abdul Hye Those who prefer the worldly life to the Hereafter, hinder people from the way of Allah (Islam), and seek crookedness in it, they are far astray |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Those who prefer the life of the world to the Hereafter, and hinder people from the way of Allah, and seek crookedness therein; these are in error far-off |
| Ahmed Ali Those who hold the life of this world dearer than that of the next, who obstruct the path of God and seek obliquity in it, have wandered far into error |
