﴿قُل لَّوۡ كَانَ مَعَهُۥٓ ءَالِهَةٞ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذٗا لَّٱبۡتَغَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِي ٱلۡعَرۡشِ سَبِيلٗا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 42]
﴿قل لو كان معه آلهة كما يقولون إذا لابتغوا إلى ذي العرش﴾ [الإسرَاء: 42]
| Abdel Haleem Say, ‘If there were other gods along with Him, as they say there are, then they would have tried to find a way to the Lord of the Throne.’ |
| Abdul Hye Say (O Muhammad to polytheists): “If there were other one worthy of worship besides Him as they say, they would have certainly sought a way to (dethrone) the Master of the Throne |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Say: If there had been (other) gods with Him, as they say,- behold, they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Say thou: were there along with Him other gods, as they say, then they would have brought unto the Owner of the Throne a way |
