﴿لَّا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغۡوِ فِيٓ أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ قُلُوبُكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٞ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 225]
﴿لا يؤاخذكم الله باللغو في أيمانكم ولكن يؤاخذكم بما كسبت قلوبكم والله﴾ [البَقَرَة: 225]
| Abdel Haleem He will not call you to account for oaths you have uttered unintentionally, but He will call you to account for what you mean in your hearts. God is most forgiving and forbearing |
| Abdul Hye Allah will not blame you for your vain utterances (unintentional) in your oaths, but He will call you to account for what your hearts have earned. And Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing |
