﴿فَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقٖ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴾
[الشعراء: 63]
﴿فأوحينا إلى موسى أن اضرب بعصاك البحر فانفلق فكان كل فرق كالطود﴾ [الشعراء: 63]
Abdel Haleem and We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff.’ It parted- each side like a mighty mountain |
Abdul Hye Then We revealed to Moses (saying): “Strike the sea with your stick.” It parted, and each part (of the sea water) became like the huge mountain |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty |
Ahmed Ali We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain |
