﴿وَمَن جَٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَٰهِدُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 6]
﴿ومن جاهد فإنما يجاهد لنفسه إن الله لغني عن العالمين﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 6]
| Abdel Haleem Those who exert themselves do so for their own benefit––God does not need His creatures–– |
| Abdul Hye And whoever strives, then strives only for oneself. Surely, Allah is Rich (not in any need) from all mankind and jinns |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls: for Allah is free of all needs from all creation |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And whosoever strive, striveth only for himself: verily Allah is Independent of the worlds |
| Ahmed Ali He who strives does so for himself. Verily God is independent of the creatures of the world |
