﴿يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأۡسٗا لَّا لَغۡوٞ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمٞ ﴾
[الطُّور: 23]
﴿يتنازعون فيها كأسا لا لغو فيها ولا تأثيم﴾ [الطُّور: 23]
| Abdel Haleem They pass around a cup which does not lead to any idle talk or sin |
| Abdul Hye They shall pass from hand to hand a wine cup in it which shall cause no dirty, false talk in it (between them), and no sin will go around |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They will therein snatch from one another a cup; therein will be neither vain babble nor sin |
| Ahmed Ali They will exchange cups of wine free of (incitement to) pleasantry or sin |
| Aisha Bewley They will pass round there a drinking cup to one another with no foolish talk and no wrong action in it |
| A. J. Arberry while they pass therein a cup one to another wherein is no idle talk, no cause of sin |
| Ali Quli Qarai There they will pass from hand to hand a cup wherein there will be neither any vain talk nor sinful speech |
