﴿فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ﴾
[يُونس: 17]
﴿فمن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو كذب بآياته إنه لا﴾ [يُونس: 17]
Dr Kamal Omar So, who is a bigger transgressor than that who forged a lie against Allah or denied His Ayaat? Surely it (is that) the criminals do not become successful |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So who did greater wrong than he who devised a lie against God or denied His signs? Truly, the ones who sin will not prosper |
Dr Munir Munshey Who could be worse than the one inventing lies about Allah and modifying His verses? Surely, (such) criminals do not prosper |
Edward Henry Palmer Who is more unjust than he who forges against God a lie, or says His signs are lies? verily, the sinners shall not prosper |
Farook Malik Who can be more unjust than the one who himself forges a lie, then ascribes it to Allah or falsifies His real Revelations? Indeed, such criminals can never prosper |
George Sale And who is more unjust than he who deviseth a lie against God, or accuseth his signs of falsehood? Surely the wicked shall not prosper |
Maududi Who, then, is a greater wrong-doer than he who forges a lie against Allah or rejects His signs as false? Surely the guilty shall not prosper |
