﴿فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٞ مِّن قَوۡمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوۡفٖ مِّن فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِمۡ أَن يَفۡتِنَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ لَعَالٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ﴾
[يُونس: 83]
﴿فما آمن لموسى إلا ذرية من قومه على خوف من فرعون وملئهم﴾ [يُونس: 83]
| Dr Kamal Omar But did not Believe in Musa (anyone) except the younger generation of his nation because of the fear of Firaun and their chiefs, lest they should put them to persecution and torture; and verily, Firaun behaved as an arrogant tyrant on the earth, and indeed he was surely of the Musrifun (those who breahead of state the limits, indulge in transgression) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar But none believed Moses but the offspring of his folk because of the fear of Pharaoh and his Council that he persecute them. And, truly, Pharaoh was one who exalted himself on the earth. And he was, truly, of the ones who are excessive |
